Office Staff
Christine Hnat
Managing Director |
Chris first came to Cassidy in 1984 as an actress. She joined the
office staff in 1987 as the Box Office Manager and became the Office
Manager before going over to city hall to serve as Secretary to the
Mayor. During her four year hiatus, she never really left the theatre,
returning to appear on stage at least once a season. Chris was named
Cassidy's Managing Director in 1999 and considers everyone who appears
or works here as part of the "Cassidy Family" and bases her managing
style on her belief that "thank you" are the two most important words
you can say. Chris is married to Joe Hnat ,a former Cassidy Scenic
Artist/Technical Director. Joe is never far from the theatre, returning
to do light designs and sound designs, along with their oldest son
Nick who also has been a Cassidy "techie" since the age of ten (and
designed this web site). The younger son, Alex, has also appeared
on stage. Chris holds a B.A. in journalism and worked for TWA, United
Airlines and Jo Ann Fabrics before coming to Cassidy. Her favorite
Cassidy shows are the 1984 production of Brigadoon , where
she met Joe, and the 2000 production of Ebenezer!, in which
the whole Hnat family appeared on stage together. |

in Iowa and Ohio. She is married with one son and also one grandson
who is destined to act in Grandma K's plays. |
