Nestled in the wooded landscape of Greenbriar Commons, the Cassidy Theatre was founded in 1974 by then Parma Heights mayor Paul W. Cassidy as a tribute to his wife Elise, who at the time was a local community theatre actress. Over the last 50 seasons, the Cassidy Theatre has produced over 300 productions and welcomed hundreds of thousands of patrons, actors, contractors, students and volunteers alike through its doors. The theatre continues to be a vibrant part of the tapestry of the Parma Heights community. Cassidy Theatre offers six shows each year as part of its mainstage season. The theatre offers Spring, Summer and Fall arts education opportunities for youth, and has historically been one of the performance homes for Manivic Hawaiian & Ploynesian Dance company, The Singing Angels, and for the AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland.
